I Lost My Phone/Laptop That Had My Passkey. Is My Account at Risk?

If your device is protected by a PIN, password, or biometrics, your passkeys are still protected. But you should:

  1. Use your backup login method (password, backup codes, or security key) from another device.
  2. Remove any old device sessions from your account’s security settings.
  3. Create a new passkey on your replacement device.
  4. If the lost device is unmanaged (personal), consider using Find my device or remote wipe if available.
